Your first budget with CashCurator.
Start with one budget and one purchase. This guide explains how to record expenses and see them in context.
Create a personal budget
Open Budgets and choose Create budget. Give it a name you recognise, such as Everyday or Home, select its currency and choose a period if you want to track spending by week or month. Save the budget.
Add income, then an expense
To give the budget a starting amount, record incoming money as income. Then add a purchase as an expense: enter the amount, choose a category and give it a short name. Check the date and save. Your balance is based on the transactions you record.
Review what is left
Return to the budget overview to see the balance and recent transactions. For a budget with a period, open its summary and select the interval you want to review. Compare the recorded purchases with your plan.
Plan future transactions
In the transaction editor, mark income or an expense as planned if it has not happened yet. Its amount is already counted in the budget calculations. When it happens, open the transaction, turn off its planned status and save. Keep the date and budget period accurate.
Move a budget manually
Export a budget using the app’s budget export action and save the CashCurator archive. On the other device, choose budget import, select the archive and review the preview before confirming. This works in FREE and guest mode, without automatic synchronization. Categories, transactions and supported item data are transferred; receipt photos are not part of the archive.
Add purchases from a receipt
Receipt tools require sign-in and active PRO. In the transaction editor, add a clear photo showing the whole receipt and follow the recognition prompts. Review item names, quantities and amounts before saving. Recognition runs on-device, but saved attachments can be synchronized with your account. Language support differs between Android and iOS.
